Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Database Developer based in Amman. The Database Developer will design, develop, and maintain databases supporting critical applications and data processes. Daily responsibilities include creating and optimizing database schemas, managing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring database performance and reliability. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective database solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and define database requirements for various projects.
- Design, develop, and maintain databases to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
- Conduct thorough analysis and validation of data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other tuning techniques.
- Utilize PL/SQL for efficient database development and maintenance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.

Continuously work on optimizing database solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Develop and optimize ETL (extract, transform, load) processes to help extract and manipulate data from multiple sources.
Must Have
- Bachelor Degree or Higher

Up to 2 years of experience in database development.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (DBMS)
- Proficiency in PL/SQL
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with database design principles and normalization.
- Experience with ETL.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of banking systems or financial databases is a plus.
- Experience with SQL Server Management Studio is a plus.
- Experience with SSIS is a plus.
